(19*-) Actor and director. *** Studied drama at the University of Stellenbosch, eventually completing a M.Dram degree in directing. Winner of the Fleur du Cap Theatre Award for Most Promising Student in 1992. Worked as an occasional director for Spektrum Productions in Stellenbosch, before going on to become a prominent television actor, notably as "Jan Hendrik" in the popular soap opera Sewende Laan ("Seventh Avenue"). Has also directed plays for festivals.
