(18*-19*) ** , journalist and playwright. ** Wrote a column under the name "Kaatje Kekkelbek" in The South African Review from 1916-19**. Later (1920s-1940s) also wrote some of the best scripts for the comic impersonator and mimic Marjorie Burger's character "Kaatje Kekkelbek". Among those recorded by Columbia Records are Kaatje bel die loodgieter op ("Kaatje phones the plumber"), Kaatje ontvang 'n foonboodskap ("Kaatje receives a phone call") and Kaatje saai uit ("Kaatje does a broadcast").
