Performance history in South Africa

1956: Performed by K.A.T. in October 1956, directed by Robert Mohr.

1964: Performed as CAPAB's first production of an indigenous play at the Hofmeyr Theatre on 22 August 1964. Directed by Ria le Roux, with Fred le Roux Paul Malherbe, Magdalena Swanevelder, Herman Steytler, Fanie Bekker, Johan Grobler, Jurie Hanekom, Bertie van der Merwe and André Rossouw. The play went on tour to do 28 performances at 15 venues ( including the towns of Saldanha, Malmesbury, Robertson, Piketberg and Clanwilliam), and was seen by 7 516 people.
