Founded in 1975 by Peter Snyders, it initially operated in Athlone and later moved to Mitchell's Plain. An amateur group consisting of full-time workers as well as students, their aim was to present people from everyday life, to give them a voice and to register political protest. They sought to bridge the socio-political divide between races and classes and conscientize people. They performed regularly and largely put on Afrikaans plays by written by Snyders. These include Voor dit gebeur (1975, 1977, 1978), Lied vir Lisa (1979, 1980), Political Joke (first done 1979, and often afterwards), Min Genade (1983, 1986, 1987), [Die Drein (an expanded version of Voor dit gebeur , performed by &** in 199*)??**].
