Tim Spring (19**-). Best known as film director. Also credited as Timothy Spring.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

On stage he has appeared in Toad of Toad Hall and in Twelfth Night for NTO in 1953.

He directed films such as Gee My Jou Hand (1963) and Die Voortreflike Familie Smit (1965), Dog Squad (1973), Billy Boy (1978), No Hero (1992), Why They Sank Titanic (2000).

Awards, etc.

He was nominated for an Artes Award as best director (television). 1991.
