Tienie Stiglingh (b. Ventersdorp, 27/06/1913 – d. Pretoria, 15/06/1997) was a teacher and occasional actor.

Biography

Marthinus Johannes Stiglingh was a teacher rather than a professional actor, but in 1946 he was called upon to play Ds. Gompel in the film version of Die Wildsboudjie, directed by Arthur Bennett and Louis Knobel. Perhaps that is why, more than 30 years later, he was called upon to play another dominee in two seasons of the television series Nommer Asseblief (Henk Hugo/ 1979/1980) and in the subsequent film sequel Verkeerde Nommer (Franz Marx/1982).
