A farce by Eugène Labiche. This play was directed by Rosalie van der Gucht for The Space (Cape Town) in 1974, and was the only production that she ever did for them. One of the cast members was Icky Kurgan who Brian Astbury describes as the funniest actor who never turned professional, a natural comedian. The rest of the cast consisted of Limpie Basson, Phillip Boucher, Mary Dreyer, Andrea Fine, Blaise Koch, Michele Maxwell, and Maralin Vanrenen. The designer was Limpie Basson, furniture and costumes were from the Little Theatre and the stage manager was Gordon Sara who was also head of lighting.
