(1851-1948) Photographer. Son of an 1820 settler, he lived in Robertson, where he had a printing business and was an agent for the Cape Government Railways, photographing all the cities, towns and landscapes for them (Railway carriages were decortated with this pictures.) Later (1900) lived in Cape Town where he took pictures of notable people (including actors and actresses??*) Also took theatre photographs..??** He finally went to live in Hermanus. His photographs are housed in the Cape Archives in Cape Town.  ??** CHECK
