They Walk Alone is a thriller in 3 acts by English playwright and novelist Max Catto [1] (1907-1992)..

The play opened at the Q Theatre in November 1938 with Beatrix Lehmann in the part of Emmy, and then transferred to the Shaftesbury Theatre in 1939. [2]
