Thespian
Thespian is a comedy play by Emily Tseu. A semi-autobiographical look at three budding young actors trying to make it in Johannesburg and wondering whether there is real artistic life outside of soap opera in South Africa.

First staged at the Barney Simon Young Writers’ Festival at the Market Theatre in 2002, directed by Martin Koboekae, with Bhayo Jwayi (Lesego), Ferry Jele (Nomahulbi), and Tebogo Hamlet Maboa (Jeffrey).
