Therese

Therese is the title of a play that , according to D.C. Boonzaier (1923), was performed by Joseph Ashman and the "Ashman Group" as part of a short season in Cape Town's Opera House in 1894. Neither Boonzaier nor F.C.L. Bosman (who cites Boonzaier in his 1980 book) mention an author.

It may have been a reference to an English version of Thérèse Raquin by Émile Zola, first staged in London in 1891.
