An old stone church - one of the last surviving remnants of the historic suburb, District Six - provides the atmospheric setting for the Cape Town theatre. Andrew Russel and Brian Notcutt started the theatre as a base for their unique Cape cultural dinner theatre experience, Woza Cape Town, a community theatre production that acts as a showcase for young aspiring performers from diverse backgrounds. The show is a treasure trove of South African music, dance, poetry and song. The ticket includes a traditional Cape Malay dinner. The theatre also plays host to live jazz and acoustic sessions, work by emerging playwrights and internationally acclaimed productions like Moj of the Antarctic and Brent Palmer's History of Cape Town - Abridged.
