Performance history in South Africa

1956: Taubie Kushlick staged The Waltz of the Toreadors in 1956.

1958: Directed by Leonard Schach for the Cockpit Players at the Hofmeyr Theatre, March 1958. In the cast were Ruth Abromowitz, Dorothy Felbert, Hinda Honikman, Gerald James. Decor by Bruce Palmer.

There is reference to a production of the play in Afrikaans entitled Wals van die Toreadors starring Pieter Bredenkamp, Limpie Basson and Isabella Bosman, date and venue unknown.
