Performance history in South Africa
1865: Performed in the Theatre Royal, Cape Town, on 25 November, as part of a "Grand Combination Performance: the Christy's Farewell and the Dramatic Co." by the Ray and Cooper Company. It was accompanied by songs, dances and recitals - including a "Grand Burlesque, Trial of Skill and Challenge Dance" by the Christy's Minstrels and the commedietta called Cousin Tom (George Roberts). The company was recently arrived back from Port Elizabeth, where they had presumably also performed the play.
