The Tidings Brought to Mary (L'annonce faite à Marie) (1912) by French playwright Paul Claudel (1868-1955). In the play the leprous Violaine, through her unquestioning assurance in the all-loving God, effects a miracle and brings back to life the dead child of her sister. Presented by the University of Cape Town Speech-Training Department, produced by Ruth Peffers, featuring Margaret White, Nada Waterman, Leonard Schach. Décor Cecil Pym.
