A popular comedy in five acts by Thomas Morton. First performed at the Theatre Royal Covent Garden on 15 January 1805, and was revived so late as 20 November 1867 at the St. James's theatre. Published in London by Longman, Hurst, Rees and Orms in 1805.

Performance history in South Africa

11 June 1831: Performed in Cape Town by All the World's a Stage in the Cape Town Theatre, with Charles the Second, or The Merry Monarch (Payne).
