by Thomas Holcroft (1745 – 1809). His his most successful play, it was produced in 1792. A revival in 1873 ran for 118 nights. Full title The Road to Ruin; The Deserted Daughter, but also known only as The Road to Ruin.
Performed in the African Theatre, Cape Town by the Garrison Players on 21 October, 1823, with The Road to Ruin (Holcroft), as a Benefit for J. Corbishly.
