First performed at the Little Theatre, Ohio University, directed by Seabury Quinn Jr in 1982. Awarded the the Christina Crawford Award (of the then American Theater Association) in 1984. First production in Lesotho by Lesiba Players in 1985,
Performance history in South Africa
1987: First South African production by Soyikwa Institute of African Theatre at the Funda Centre in Johannesburg in 1987.
