A musical farce in one act and/or in two acts (depending on the edition) by George Colman (Jr) 1762-1836. Apparently based on "Caleb Quotem and his wife" by Henry Lee. (Longworth edition, 1804[1])


First performed at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket, September 2nd, 1800.


Published as by J. Cumberland in London in 1800, and as a musical farce in one act by Thomas Hailes Lacy in London. Latereditions include one by D. Longworth, New York, in 1804, and in 1822 by W.Oxberry, London with a preface and all stage directions.
