First performed by His Majesty's company, with music by Storace. Published in Dublin by F. Farquhar,1793.

Performance history in South Africa

Performed in Cape Town by the English Theatricals company (former Garrison Players) in the African Theatre on 23 September 1815, with Speed the Plough" (Morton)

Translations and adaptations

Translated into Dutch as De Lotery Prys, of No. 2,5,3,8. by an anonymous Cape Town Amateur.
