The Performer
(Sometimes referred to as the Performerteater or Performer Theatre) The Performer is situuated in Menlopark, Pretoria , at the c/o Thomas Edison- and 13th Streets, Greenlyn Village Centre. It is a high tech performance venue which claims (wrongly) to be "the first sit down dinner theatre in Pretoria". It opened in November 2002. The Performer caters for 80 - 350 people, who sit around tables . An up-market entertainment venue, it also houses 3 VIP boxes, which are elevated gallery boxes that can seat between 10 and 40 people.
Productions
The theatre tends towards Afrikaans companies and musical fare, and has already presented such South African artists and musicians as, Drie van die Bestes, Die drie Tenore, Amanda Strydom, Lukas Maree, Dozi, Rory Rootenburg, Eden, Randall Wiccomb, Rina Hugo and Elsabe Zietsman.
