The Ogre is a play by Henry Arthur Jones (1851-1929)[1].

First produced at St. James's Theatre, London on 11 September, 1911.

Performance history in South Africa

1912: Performed for the first time in Cape Town by the Alfred Paumier and his company in the Opera House during April. (The title wrongly given as "The Orge" by Boonzaier (and thus transcribed by Bosman).
