The Lonely Man of the Ocean, or The Night before the Bridal is a drama in three acts by Thomas G. Blake ()[].

The original text

First performed at the Olympic Theatre, London, in 1851 and published in London by T.H. Lacy in the same year.

Performance history in South Africa

1961: Performed as The Lonely Man of the Ocean in the Theatre Royal, Cape Town by the Cape Town and Royal Alfred Dramatic Club on 11 February, "with new scenery and mechanical arrangements by Mr T. Baines".
