The Little Treasure is a comedy in two acts by Augustus Harris (Augustus Glossip Harris, 1825–1873)[1]

The original text

First performed at the Theatre Royal Haymarket 11 October 1855. Published in T.H. Lacy's, vol. 23, no. 345 and by Samuel French in 1855

Translations and adaptations

Performance history in South Africa

1859: Performed in the Harrington Street Theatre, Cape Town, by the Cape Town Dramatic Club on 30th June, with The Lady of Lyons (Byron) and the orchestra of the Cape Royal Rifles. The performance was done as a benefit for Miss Delmaine.

1860: Performed in the Theatre Royal, Cape Town, by the Royal Alfred Dramatic Club on 17 and 20 December, with The Hundred Pound Note (Peake). The first performance was done as a benefit for Mrs Delmaine.
