The original text
Possibly devised by H. Booth during his stay in Cape Town, though Bosman does not count it as a South African work but one brought from England. He also suggests that it this may have been a follow up piece to the "new Ballet Dance" called Jack at the Cape, or All Alive Among the Hottentots!, which was first performed in Cape Town by All the World's a Stage on 7th January.
