1. The King of Diamonds by Harold J. Laite is a three-act play about Cecil John Rhodes (1853-1902) [1] and Barney Barnato (1851-1897) [2] published by Pioneer in Cape Town in the 1950s and first presented at the Labia Theatre, Cape Town, 1953.

2. The King of Diamonds is a musical play with Barney Barnato (1851-1897) [3] as central figure and hero; book by Bob O’Keede, music by Edgar Adeler.

Produced by NTO in 1961. Directed by Robert Langford.
