The King's Jester is an English adaptation of the play Le roi s'amuse by Victor Hugo, (26 February 1802 – 22 May 1885) a French poet, novelist, and dramatist of the Romantic movement and is set at the court of Francis I of France in the 16th century.

June 21 - 23, 1948: Performed by pupils of the Holy Rosary Convent, Port Elizabeth at the school hall.
