The Jilt

The Jilt is a comedy in five acts by Dion Boucicault (1820-1890)[1]

The original text

This was Boucicault's last play, which he referred to in an interview as "one of English country life, something after the fashion of my London Assurance[2]. It was first performed by Boucicault and his company in San Francisco on 15 May, 1885, and then at the Princess of Wales's Theatre, London, 29 July 1886.
