The Italian Straw Hat, 1851, (original title in French Le Chapeau de paille d'Italie) a five-act farce by French dramatist Eugène Marin Labiche (1815–1888).

Translated into Afrikaans by Rita Elferink with the title Die Italiaanse Strooihoed.

Performance history in South Africa

Leonard Schach directed the Little Theatre Players in this play at the Little Theatre in December 1953. Décor by Frank Graves, costumes by Doreen Graves.
