A farce in two acts. Altered from Sir Robert Howard's The Committee (1665) by Thomas Knight (died 1820).

First acted at the Theatre-Royal, Covent-Garden May 9, 1797. Printed in London for and under the direction of G. Cawthorn, 1797.


Performance history in South Africa

1846: performed on 2 January 1846 by the amateurs of the 45th Regiment in the barracks at Fort Napier, as afterpiece to Zorinski by Thomas Morton.
