by Zakes Mda. A full-length play set in Lesotho and dealing with the plight of migrant workers in Southern Africa. First produced at the People’s Space (Cape Town) in 1980, [co-]directed by Rob Amato [and Nomhle Nkonyeni?*Kruger 185?]. Also done at the Market Theatre and township venues. Published in two parts in Scenaria magazine, vols XVI and XVII, 1979(81?), later in The Plays of Zakes Mda (edited by Andrew Horn) in 1990(Ravan Press). Again in the collection Open Space (Yvette Hutchison and Kole Omotoso, 1995) (Kagiso Publishers). Won the Amstel Playwright of the Year Award in 1979.
