The Girls of Gottenburg is an Edwardian musical comedy in two acts and three scenes, written by George Grossmith Jnr (1874-1935)[1] and L.E. Berman ()[], with music by Ivan Caryll (1861-1921)[2] and Lionel Monckton ()[] and lyrics by Adrian Ross (1859-1933)[3] and Basil Hood(1864-1917)[4].

The original text

It was originally performed at the Gaiety Theatre, London, opening on 15 May 1907 and running for 303 performances.

1908: Performed at the start of the year by a new Gaiety Company at the Opera House, Cape Town.
