The Friday Bench also known as La Panchina del Venerdi (Milan 1970) by Italian/American playwright Mario Fratti (born 1927) [1], [2]. One-act. Cast: mixed. Published in Four Plays", edgemoor, Houston, 1972 and in Unpredictable Plays.

The Friday Bench is a short play. The characters unfold as the play progresses. All is not what it seems to be. About two thirds of the way through, the reader thinks he or she knows what is really going on, but then even more is revealed.

Presented by CAPAB English Drama Lunchtime Theatre in the Hofmeyr Theatre, January 1983.
