The Firstborn, a play written in 1948 by English poet and playwright Christopher Fry [1] (1907-2005).

Performance history in South Africa

Presented by the Little Theatre Players at the Little Theatre, directed by Leonard Schach, April 1953. Decor by Cecil Pym. In the cast: David Beattie, Joyce Bradley, Robert Del Kyrke, Arnold Pearce.

Produced by NTO in 1953. The NTO national tour in 1954 was directed by Leonard Schach, decor by Jan van der Pauw and costumes by Doreen Graves. The cast on tour were David Beattie, Joyce Bradley, Lorna Cowell, Leon Gluckman, Harry Mann, Arnold Pearce and Peter Zander.

Presented by the Peninsula Dramatic Society on 23 March 1955.
