The Dumb Waiter is a play by English playwright Harold Pinter (1930-2008) [1]. First performed at the Hampstead Theatre Club, 21 January 1960.

Production history in South Africa

1962: Presented by the University of Cape Town's University Dramatic Society at the Little Theatre in August, directed by Bill Tanner.

1977: Presented by the Rhodes University Drama Department directed by Lyrr Addison in May 1977 as part of a triple bill of one act plays including Orison by Ferdinand Arrabal, directed by Jon Maytham; Guernica by Ferdinand Arrabal, directed by Jamie Crawford.

1979: AMDA Rehearsal Room.

1980: A Baxter Theatre Production was directed by Ken Leach in a double bill with The Lover, opening 25 January 1980, starring Richard Cox and Jacqui Singer.
