There are three stage works known (directly and indirectly) by this name in English:

The title

La fille du régiment[1] ("The Daughter of the Regiment") by Gaetano Donizetti (1797-1848)[2], a two act opéra comique[3]. It was first performed on 11 February 1840 by the Paris Opéra-Comique at the Salle de la Bourse.

Josephine, the Child of the Regiment, or The Fortune of War, a musical comedy by John Baldwin Buckstone (1802-1879)[4], partly based on the Donizetti opera. This is sometimes performed under the title The Daughter of the Regiment

For the original French opera, see the entry on La fille du régiment

For the Buckstone's play, see the entry on Josephine, the Child of the Regiment, or The Fortune of War

The Daughter of the Regiment, a drama in two acts by Edward Fitzball (1792-1873)

First performed at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, London, in May 28th 1844. Published by J. Dicks in the series Dicks' standard plays (no. 761) in 1883(?)
