The Curing Room is a play by David Ian Lee ()[]

The original text

Inspired by real events, the play is set in the spring 1944, and tells of seven Soviet soldiers captured and stripped naked and abandoned in the locked empty cellar of a monastery in southern Poland. Deprived of all ties to their world, the prisoners redefine their concepts of order and human nature, resorting to murder and cannibalism.

First performed by Stripped Down Productions in 2014, directed by Joao de Sousa. The work was a sensation at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and in London.
