The Boy David is a play in three acts by Scottish author and dramatist Sir James Barrie [1] (1860-1937), best remembered as the creator of Peter Pan. His final play was The Boy David (1936), which dramatised the Biblical story of King Saul and the young David. Published by Davies, 1938.

Performance hoistory in South Africa

1945: In South Africa the play was presented by the Cape Town Repertory Theatre Society at the Little Theatre in 1945-6, produced by Pat Nicholson, starring Mary Templeton, C. Carey Lacey, Jan Bruyns, Pieter de Waal, Jean Fleming and others. Lighting by H. Lerner, sets by Cecil Pym
