The Bedsitting Room is a comedy written by Spike Milligan (1918-2002) [1] and English playwright and script writer John Antrobus [2]. The play is set in a post-apocalyptic London, nine months after World War III.

A film based on the play was released in 1969.

Performance history in South Africa

Presented at the Market Theatre in 1978 produced and directed by Nigel Vermaas starring Kenneth Baker, Anthony James. The Publications appeal Board overruled their earlier censorship order and allowed the production to go ahead without any cuts.
