The Aspern Papers by Henry James. The novella was adapted for the stage and produced by Michael Redgrave on Broadway in 1962 .

Performance history in South Africa

First produced in South Africa by Leonard Schach and the Cockpit Players at the Playhouse after their season at the Hofmeyr in 1960. Schach had brought out British actress Flora Robson and Canadian actor Robert Beatty for the leads. Other members of the cast were Dorothy Felbert, Jane Fenn, Anthony James, Jacinta Roseiro. Decor by Pamela Lewis.
