The Aspern Papers is a novella by Henry James. In 1959, The Aspern Papers was adapted for the stage by Michael Redgrave and successfully produced at the Queen's Theatre in London's West End, with Redgrave and Flora Robson in the lead roles.

Performance history in South Africa

First produced in South Africa by Leonard Schach and the Cockpit Players at the Playhouse after their season at the Hofmeyr in 1960. Schach had brought out British actress Flora Robson and Canadian actor Robert Beatty for the leads. Other members of the cast were Dorothy Felbert, Jane Fenn, Anthony James, Jacinta Roseiro. Decor by Pamela Lewis.
