He was born in the Eastern Cape but grew up in Benoni.  He returned to Cape Town where he matriculated and began his drama studies in 1998 with the [[Community Arts Project]]. In 1999 he joined [[New Africa Theatre Association]] to further his drama studies from where he went to the [[University of Cape Town]] ([[UCT]]) and completed his Performer’s Diploma in 2002. He has featured in a number of student productions, the last being ''[[Woza Albert]]'', which had a successful tour in Europe. After graduating he has performed in numerous productions, including, ''[[Madiba Magic]]'' for [[Janice Honeyman]] (2003), ''[[Third Coming]]'' (2004), ''[[Elephant of Africa]]'' and ''[[Witness]]'' (2005). Most recently he has directed a season of ''[[Woza Albert]]''.

Thando Mthi (19**-). Actor.

Biography

He was born in the Eastern Cape but grew up in Benoni. He returned to Cape Town where he matriculated and began his drama studies in 1998 with the Community Arts Project. In 1999 he joined New Africa Theatre Association to further his drama studies from where he went to the University of Cape Town (UCT) and completed his Performer’s Diploma in 2002.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He has featured in a number of student productions, the last being Woza Albert, which had a successful tour in Europe.

After graduating he has performed in numerous productions, including Good Rubbish (2002), Madiba Magic (2003), Third Coming (2004), Groundswell (2005), Crooked (2006), Witnesses (2008).

Elephant of Africa and Witness (2005). Most recently he has directed a season of Woza Albert.
