Tante Trui, Een Liefdesgeschiedenis
Tante Trui, Een Liefdesgeschiedenis ("Aunt Trui, A history of love") is a popular Dutch one-act farce by an unknown author.
Also referred to simply as Tante Trui.
A popular name in Dutch, the word "trui" actually means "jersey" or "pullover"(also in Afrikaans), though it is more likely that the name "Trui" is here used as an abbreviated form for a full name such as "Gertruida".

1869: Performed by Aurora II in the Wynberg Aided School, Wynberg, Cape Town in August, as an afterpiece to H.W. Teengs's locally written Dutch play Willem Nel.
