Taken from Life is a play in five acts by Henry Pettitt (1848-1893)[1]

First performed in 31 December, 1881, at the Adelphi Theatre, London.

Performance history in South Africa

1882-3: Performed in the Theatre Royal, Cape Town, by the Mabel Hayes Company as part of a season of opera and drama that opened with a Christmas pantomime (Cinderella) in 1882 and lasting till July 1883.
