Anthony Trevor Cope (1928-) [1]. Zulu linguist, academic, translator.

His books and translations include a translation of Hilda Kuper's play A Witch in my Heart into isiZulu entitled Inhliziyo ngumthakathi (1962). Izibongo. Zulu praise-poems (collected by James Stuart. translated by Daniel Malcolm and edited with introductions and annotations by Anthony Trevor Cope - Clarendon Press, Oxford, 1968), Magema Magwaza Fuze, translated by Harry Camp Lugg and edited by Anthony Trevor Cope. University of Natal Press, Pietermaritzburg, 1979. and UMamazane (Mamazane) by R.H. Mthembu, translated into English by D.M. Mzolo and Anthony Trevor Cope.
