Stephen Hollis (19*-). British director.

Biography

His first production as director was The Homecoming by Harold Pinter at Watford Palace Theatre. He subsequently directed several plays by Simon Gray both in England and America.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He directed the Toerien-Firth Company production of Simon Gray’s Stage Struck (he directed the West End production the year before) starring Michael McGovern and Kenneth Baker in 1980. He also directed Middle Age Spread (1980), Mass Appeal (1982) and possibly House Guest.
