Spring Quartet is a musical play by Willard Stoker ()[].


The original text

Based on the music of Schubert and set in Austria, the play was staged and directed in 1955 by Stoker at the Liverpool Playhouse, where he was a director at the time.

Performance history in South Africa

1956: Leonard Schach directed the play for the Cockpit Players, September 1956 at the Hofmeyr Theatre, starring Webster Booth, Joyce Bradley, Cynthia Coller, Jane Fenn, Gavin Haughton, Sydney Welch and Anne Ziegler. Decor by David Crichton, costumes by Doreen Graves. At the piano were Keith Jewell and Geoffrey Miller.
