Sowing the Wind is a in four acts play by Sydney Grundy (1848-1914)[1].

The original text

It opened at the Comedy Theatre, London, in 1893 and was originally published in the same year.

Translations and adaptations

Twice filmed, in 1916 as a British silent film and in 1921 in an American silent version by John M. Stahl.

Performance history in South Africa

1897: Performed in Cape Town during January by Edward Sass and a company under the management of the Wheeler Brothers.
