A pageant of the history of South Africa, with a series sketches about the “discovery” of South Africa by the Portuguese, Dutch and British, the subjugation of the ingidenous inhabitants and the appropriation of their lands. It involved over 5000 performers and the services of the SA Navy, and premiered in Table Bay 29 May 1910, two days before the opening of the new Union of South Africa parliament.
