It is a selective life story about Sir Harry Smith, from the time he met his young wife in the Peninsular Wars to the occasion when he rode from Cape Town to Grahamstown to take over the military command in the Frontier Wars. First published in c.1924 by Juta and Company (Cape Town). (See Gosher, 1988)
